Jack Kingston

Jack Kingston, a.k.a.  "The King" is a powerful Hollywood Producer with many illegitimate interests.  He is a living relic of the Golden Age of Cinema, having outlived and bested his fellow founders of the industry.   While he keeps a low public profile, Jack Kingston is the only remaining studio head with a controlling interest in it's operations, and is secretly controlling the box office and its biggest stars.  The King's influence stretches beyond the limits of tinseltown - he  is the guy pulling all the strings and connected to the truth behind every conspiracy.  With nothing more left to quench his  thirst for success, his only vice is to exercise his power as a weapon, to control and destroy.  He is feared like a dictator, without conscience or mercy.  No stranger to scandal, Jack Kingston had a long-standing rivalry and equally corrupt business relationship with Janie's father, who was indicted on federal charges, and met an untimely death.  Now he sets his sights on the only thing left outside his grasp, Janie Taylor.

Ashley Davis
Ashley Brooke Davis was born in Charleston, South Carolina's second largest city, where her parents met while attending college.  Ashley's Dad graduated and her Mom was still in school, when they became pregnant with Ashley a year later.   They moved to the suburbs to  raise a family, with Dad becoming a local schoolteacher and Mom becoming a model housewife and member of the community.  Ashley was encouraged to participate in school activities at a young age.  She had a natural talent for performing arts and performed in the school, church and community theaters.   Along with her charm and natural beauty, she was the envy of all the girls in school  and the pride of the local town.  With straight A's and numerous accolades, she had her choice of scholarships and chose to attend her parents alma mater to study education and also continue theater.  Meanwhile, her mother had become increasingly depressed after a long emotional battle, having lost two pregnancies.  With Ashley now away from home, her mother secluded herself until she died suddenly, before Ashley would finish her studies.  While Ashley was on her way to graduating with honors, she was also performing off-broadway.  After losing her mother, Ashley decided to move to Hollywood and pursue her passion of being on the silver screen.  This is her dream, it always has been.  This dream will become a nightmare.

Janie Taylor
​Janie  Elizabeth Taylor was born in Beverly Hills,  to a famed Hollywood Executive and a trophy starlet mother.   She grew up in front of the camera, acting a young age.  Before she could walk, she was working in television commercials and daytime soap operas.  At age 6, she was the youngest member of a popular children television show, and was soon later cast in several big-budget children's features.  By her early teens, Janie was being cast in blockbuster films opposite many A-List veteran actors.  At a teenager, her father was involved in an array of conspiracy and related scandals.  Rather than face the ensuing investigation, he took his own life, taking many of the undiscovered secrets with him.  There was a scare within the elites and justice system that they would be tied to corruption and criminal activities.  Many details were covered up to protect the integrity of the family and the identities of other parties involved, and the case was never fully investigated.  After her father's death and the ensuing scandal, Janie's relationship with her mother began to rift.  In spite of the controversy, Janie was adopted by the media and emerged as America's child sweetheart.  For the next couple of years, Janie's career flourished.  Things changed when she became involved in the Hollywood social scene.  Late nights partying made her an easy tabloid target.  Janie gained a reputation for showing up late to set, often hung over or under the influence.  This led to production delays and strained relationships with producers, blacklisting her from all the major studios. Her career and nice girl image gradually deteriorated, with her eventual arrest on assault and drug charges at age 20.  Janie was placed on probation and ordered to complete a 28-day treatment program.  Today, she gets out.  Tomorrow, she turns 21, and receives her inheritance trust.

Robbie Wolfe
Robbie was born and raised in a small town on the outskirts of Los Angeles, in a strict household with an overworked and hot-tempered policeman as a father.  As a child, Robbie struggled in school; distracted, bored, and misunderstood.  He only interest was an early passion for music, accompanied with the childhood dream of becoming a rock star..  This does not sit well with Robbie's father, who takes out his aggressions on Robbie and his guitar.  Still, Robbie remains determined and struggles to forge ahead, performing in public and forming a band. playing in garages of his high school bandmates.  He plays some solo gigs for pennies and eventually hustles enough to purchase a van - THE VAN,  Decidedly, everything's gonna change now.  Robbie leaves home, driving his van to Hollywood, with the outspoken defiance of his father, and hidden approval by his mother.  His road to glory is a rough one, successful but  ultimately unfulfilling.  Robbie finds himself while completely at odds with the record industry and direction of his music, the one thing in his life that he has been able to hold sacred.  

Violette

Violette is a typical teenage girl, who likes boys, makeup and talking on the phone.  Things change quickly, when she is discovered by a modeling recruiter and whisked away to a new life in the big city .  Violette finds success at an early age and becomes a familiar name and face  in the industry.  Living behind a facade of magazine covers, and shielded by the camera, she grows up way too fast in the scandalous world of fashion and modeling,  She casually dates within the music scene, but is unable to express any true intimacy.  Instead, she channels the numbness of her lost childhood and companionship, into  promiscuity and drug abuse.  There is a glimmer of hope, when she meets Robbie, and falls for his genuine passion and integrity to his music.  This love is lost, however, manipulated along the lines of cocaine and sexual insecurities,  Their relationship soon becomes a crutch for Violette and a co-dependency of drug abuse for Robbie.  Her solace becomes a temporary escape, as she withdraws once again, retreating to numbness, as Robbie spirals further..
